I don't particularly like either candidate, but if I could vote, I'd vote McCain.
Obama has no experience actually managing government, just inspirational speeches about everything that's wrong with it.
He keeps talking about increasing spending (and inevitably taxes) for medical and educational initiatives, but doesn't address how he's going to get the money to do it.
He completely ignores the fact that pending social security payouts could bankrupt the government in the decades to come, and fails to factor them into his spending policy.
He insists that we have lost in Iraq, when in truth we have never been closer to securing the country and handing the reins to the Iraqis. He says that the troop surge hasn't worked, when almost all empirical and anecdotal evidence points to the contrary.
His energy policy, while done with the best intentions, ignores the realities of America's energy infrastructure, and imperils the American economy.
McCain isn't perfect. But he understands reality and knows that his presidency will be about keeping America safe and keeping America employed, NOT about increasing public dependence on government handouts and by castrating American business by holding them to environmental standards that the rest of the world doesn't have to live up to.
